Compared to other hair extension methods, tape-ins are much gentler on your natural hair and scalp. Tape-in extensions offer the versatility to change your hairstyle frequently, suitable for a wide range of scenarios, from daily wear to special occasions, even in challenging conditions like exercise, swimming, or sleeping. They blend seamlessly into your natural hair, providing a realistic and undetectable solution for hair enhancement, moving and feeling just like your own hair.

The key to ensuring tape-in hair extensions adhere firmly and last longer is to sandwich your hair between two tape pieces. We recommend measuring either 10, 14, 16, 18, or 20 inches down from the top of your ear with a measuring tape, as most tape will be applied around the crown of your head. You can choose the product length according to our picture if you don't want to measure your length.

To avoid damaging the hair, we advise against ironing with high temperatures (over 300°F). Only light colors can be dyed into darker colors, and bleaching the extensions for 2 or 3 times is needed if the desired color is lighter than the hair you received. If not necessary, it is not recommended to bleach or dye the extensions, as the hair quality may be damaged.

To install the tape-in hair extensions, start by sectioning your hair at the lowest part of your scalp and creating a thin horizontal section. Position the adhesive side underneath the sectioned piece of hair, approximately 1/4 inch from the scalp, then carefully align the second piece directly above the first, sandwiching the natural hair in between. Use a flat iron on a low heat setting to gently press over the taped area for a few seconds.

When removing the tape-in extensions, use a professional tape remover on the contact part of the hair and tape. Wait 1-3 minutes, then gently peel off the tape, taking care not to tear it too hard, as that might damage your own hair. After removal, you can wash your own hair to keep it clean and replace with new tapes.

We recommend purchasing 2-3 packages if you want a full head of tape-in extensions. The extensions can be worn to sleep, and you can wash your hair 48 hours after installation, as the tape needs a minimum of 48 hours to completely attach. Due to long-term use, the tape viscosity will slowly decline, so we recommend replacing the tapes every 4-6 weeks to maintain the best hold. Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, as well as 100% natural hair products, to keep the extensions in good condition.
